Alcohol Advisory Council of New Zealand

The Alcohol Advisory Council of New Zealand (ALAC) was established in 1976 by Act of Parliament, following a report by the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Sale of Liquor. The Commission recommended establishing a permanent council whose aim was to encourage responsible use and minimise misuse. Their website contains information, publications and resources relating to alcohol consumption and the effects of alcohol misuse as well as links to help and support for those concerned about alcohol misuse.

Teen Tools is a site that gives parents a range of tools and guidelines to assist in your children having a safe and happy journey through the teenage years. The website was developed out of the Tauranga Parents Pack.
Although the website focuses on services and agencies based in the Tauranga area, there are lots of tips and information on here that would be useful to parents anywhere in New Zealand. Have a look - it's a fantastic site covering relevant topics such as text bullying, drugs, alcohol and hot links for further information.

ADANZ (Alcohol & Drug Association New Zealand) is a national alcohol and other drug organisation that aims to improve the health and well-being of the people of Aotearoa New Zealand, by reducing the harm associated with alcohol, other drugs and gambling.
ADANZ provides expert information and policy advice, early intervention and support services to the people of New Zealand. ADANZ manages the Alcohol Drug Helpline, compiles the national Addictions Treatment Directory and delivers a range of services led and developed by people who have previously used addiction treatment services.

Alcohol Action NZ is open to all New Zealanders who want a change in the way alcohol is supplied, marketed, sold and consumed in New Zealand.
