Profile of Taranaki Safe Families Collaborative member: Taranaki Community Law Trust

Our service is free, confidential and Taranaki wide.

We provide:-Legal Advice, Legal Assistance (e.g. Writing letters, advocating on your behalf), Legal Representation (not at court), Legal information, Law related education (Criteria applies).

We are limited in providing legal advice, assistance and representation to persons who cannot afford a lawyer or are not eligible for legal aid.

Areas of law we can assist you with: Dispute Tribunal, Consumer (e.g. Debt problems including repossession, hire purchase, bankruptcy), Employment (e.g. Personal grievance, disciplinary meetings, mediation) Neighborhood disputes (e.g. Boundary fences, trees), Tenancy, Family (initial advice only – family violence, day to day care/contact, guardianship, relationship property) We can also provide information in respect of other areas of law.

We cannot: Sell and Buy Property, Draft wills and trusts.

We cannot give advice to: Employers, Landlords, Companies or Businesses
