Work and Income
Profile for Taranaki Safe Families Trust member: Work and Income
Work and Income supports families and communities by providing advice, funding and co-ordination of social services. It is a single point of contact for New Zealanders needing to find work, access income support while unable to find work and support while in work. We support people to get on with their lives and be financially secure, by connecting them with training programmes and employment and by paying benefits and entitlements. We also address business and industry needs and work with regional partners to create jobs.
The Family Violence Intervention Programme (FVIP) is available to any Work and Income clients affected by family violence. Case managers can provide clients with information about local family violence support services so they can seek support.
