Falls Prevention Training

Falls Prevention training workshops aimed at rest home care staff and those working in primary and community health services.

Rest Homes:

New Plymouth injury Safe currently offers free falls prevention training workshops to rest homes in Taranaki. The workshops explore why rest home residents are at greater risk of falls, what causes falls and practical steps to reduce the risk of falls in individual residents and across the rest home as a whole.

Primary Care & Community Health Organisations:

A training package for those working in primary care and community health organisations is currently being developed. The workshops will be delivered by New Plymouth injury Safe and can be tailored to individual organisations' needs. For more information please email us.
