Age Concern Home Safety Checks

A free home safety check service provided to over 65's living in Taranaki.

This is a free service delivered by Age Concern Taranaki to over 65's across Taranaki (over 55 for Maori and Pacific). The service involves a home visit during which the Age Concern Field Officer undertakes a safety check using the ACC Standing Up to Falls booklet. The Field Officer will provide advice on how any hazards can be reduced and will install safety night lights and shower/bath mats if these are considered to be beneficial.
