This interactive event is open to teams of year 10 students from Secondary Schools in North Taranaki. Each school is invited to submit 10 teams of 3 students (total 30 students). The event will provide an opportunity for students to undertake a number of practical road safety challenge activities focusing on driving, speed, alcohol, restraints, licensing & road code rules and vehicle maintenance. The event will also raise awareness of the roles of emergency service personnel in relation to road safety and responding to traffic crashes.
The event is being organised by New Plymouth injury Safe Trust in partnership with New Plymouth Police, NZ Fire Service, Roadsafe Taranaki and Spotswood College.
