Bikers took time out at the Hawera lunch stop to focus on bike safety

Around 200 bikes took part in an ACC safety quiz designed to test their knowledge on  protective gear, visibility, skills and group riding techniques. Entrants in the competition each received free visor cleaning products and the winner, Mia Midgley of Inglewood, won a $300 safety gear voucher.

Six local retail outlets are currently offering discounts on hi-vis vests to complement the event.  The Motorcycle Safety Group is made up of club and retailer representatives along with ACC, Police, Roadsafe Taranaki and AA Driver Trainers.
