The Taranaki Secondary Schools Agricultural Safety Team Challenge event is a fun and interactive competition that tests the safety knowledge and skills of agriculture students. The event is held every year and the winning school team are presented with a trophy.

Safety challenges focus on livestock handling, firearms, ATV safety, chemical handling, first aid and tractor safety. The event is organised by Agriculture NZ in partnership with NPiS, ACC, Department of Labour and Francis Douglas Memorial College.
