Taranaki automotive workplaces celebrate safety success

Two Taranaki businesses are celebrating after picking up awards as the recent MTA (Motor Trade Association) National Conference in recognition of their contribution towards workplace health & safety and environmental issues.

The awards were presented at the MTA National Conference

McCurdy Engineering won the MTA National Workplace Safety Award with judges praising their processes and procedures in activities such as training, workplace health and safety presentation, injury prevention initiatives and hazard identification. Meanwhile, the ERS Environment Award for Outstanding Achievement went to car dealer WR Phillips Ltd. in acknowledgement of the way the company has integrated and ensured that good environmental process have become ‘business as usual’ at their two sites and among their 50 staff. New Plymouth injurySafe would like to congratulate both of these businesses for their success.
